Cake smash shoots are brilliant fun. We first start by shooting portraits of your baby in their birthday outfit (before they get messy) with a gorgeous backdrop of balloons or bunting or pom poms – you name it. Then it’s time for cake! Cue lots of excited giggles, curious silences and cheeky grins as your little one works out if they’re going to get in trouble or not..

As this session requires slightly more planning I’d recommend booking with plenty of time to organise the cake and decorations. You can provide your own cake or for an additional fee I have a wonderful baker friend who makes fabulous cakes so can organise that for you. We will chat through decoration style up to 2-3 weeks before the shoot, and don’t forget to bring with you outfits that you’d like your little one to wear or you are welcome to use what I have in my client wardrobe . I also recommend your little one has a nap before the session. All sessions last around an hour so there’s no rush, no pressure, just lots of fun! After your little one has had their fill (of fun or cake, whichever comes first!) I’ll box up the rest of the cake for you whilst you get baby ready for the journey home.

Cake smash session fees are £130 which is required upon booking to secure your session. Please note this does not include images.
You’ll be invited back to the studio within 2-3 weeks for an ordering appointment, this is where we sit down together and you’ll be shown all of your final edited images and you can make your purchases then (Price lists available upon enquiry)
